The Rolling Stones have a sold out concert in Jerusalem on Israel Independence Day. They have come under great pressure from the BDS Movement (to dignify something as sluggish as this with a sense of motion) to cancel. Instead, the Stones decided to put a second concert on the following day. As Mick Jagger said in response to the pressure "anything worth doing is worth overdoing", which, you will have noticed, is the title of this piece.
The really good news is that "Tickets to both concerts have already sold out."
Can you sense the desperation when "BDS proponent Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb called the band’s decision “a huge mistake” and said “they stand to lose a lot of money as a result of showing solidarity with Zionism, because their most devoted fans also support boycotting Israel.”
I mean, these guys are long past the usual retiring age, and they're touring because they want to, not because they have to: they've had very good accountants when they were very big. And anyway, what's a Rabbi doing in BDS? Must be a "progressive".

From the editor (Wiki) on Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb:
Gottlieb led a Fellowship of Reconciliation delegation to Iran in 2008, thus becoming the first female rabbi to visit Iran in a public delegation since the 1979 Iranian revolution. And here she is:
I can stand to remain boycotted...
