I am not jumping up and down of happiness because of Hugo Chavez's death. I consider him to be somewhat more benign than some much more evil and homicidal characters that still waste oxygen on our planet. On the other hand, I don't want to be hypocritical and display how I grieve about him joining his past comrades in whatever place is reserved for this kind of people.
If you are looking for an outpouring of grief, you may find some of that in a place that hardly fits the image of impoverished downtrodden proletariat: the limousine liberals of Hollywood. The Quinbus Flestrin of "documentaries", of course, then the greatest admirer of Fidel the Beard in the Western hemisphere and then, of course, Caudillo's best buddy Sean Penn, who elevated his grief to a new level, coining this statement:
Today the people of the United States lost a friend it never knew it had.I looked at the source, referred in that previous link, it checks out.
When you grieve - grieve, Sean, don't talk.
P.S. In possibly related news: Holder does not rule out drone strike scenario in U.S. I wonder...
